Our Vision

Our Vision
Bitch Media as an independent non-prefect media organization, iprovides and encourage feminist critique of pop culture. It is a place to lookout for sharp, fun, nonacademic analyses of the sexism rampant in movies, television, advertising, and more.  It runs by a small staff of eight, and a dedicated pool of interns, volunteers, contributors, and consultants. Bitch Media is a media provides a female point of view about wide range topics in modern society. It carries the mission as the Queer youth produce media, which give voice to the weak social groups. Queer youth media peak out for young gay community, and tailored to both queer and straight audiences, broadening dialogue across difference. They both serve as powerful, playful, effective models for women and gay community.
Bitch Media covers wide range of social topics such as politics, entertainments, economics, and lifestyle. It focuses on how women deal with social conflicts, most importantly, Bitch media tells women truth instead of glory lies. For example, Bitch magazine published an article called “Eat, Pray, Spend”, which is recognized by its connection with the pop culture film “Eat, Pray, Love”, which is the theater hit captivated the imaginations of countless liberal Americans. But Bitch magazine tells the truth. We are facing the hardest economic time. “Our spirits, we’re told, can still be rich. Books, blogs, and articles saturated with fantastical wellness schemes for women seem to have multiplied. In fact, featuring journeys (existential or geographical) that offer the sacred for a hefty investment of time, money, or both.” The luxurious options a woman has these day are sucks. Is everyone can act as the movie characters who risk everything for enlightenment. We are in fact “siphoning their savings to downward dog in Bali.” It is the enlightenment industry takes on a decidedly feminine sheen. Women need to face to the realities, instead of fallow company’s commercial leading.
Women are looking for voice and belonging. Such as MacIntosh and Bryson point out in Queer young’s article “identify is the next stage in development: “belonging.” Belonging occurs when a public community develops and becomes “the space of movement.” Bitch media is on the way to build the public environment for women to express their voice freely. Bitch Media generated numerous ideas, and grouped within broad vision elements for Bitch Media.
Independent media is a home for voiceless social group to gain identity. These media create a place for them to belong.
