Oxygen - "Live out Loud"


Oxygen TV Network is a cable network designed by women for women with a format similar to Lifetime and WETV. The company founded by Geraldine Layborne and talk show host Oprah Winfrey was designed to bring women the most innovative entertainment on television. From "Monique's Fat Chance," which takes America's average beauty competition and repackages it for America's average size women to Oxygen's newest hit, "Bad Girls Club,"Oxygen brings brave original programming to women everyday.


Oxygen is a bold network that continually raises the bar in delivering important women's programming and entertainment.The network airs an array of programming including Oprah After The Show, Snapped, Running Russel Simmons, The Bad Girls Club, and Oxygen original Movies.


Nicknamed "one of cables hottest networks" Oxygen broke TV ratings when its premiered with its famous docu- reality series, "Bad Girls Club". The show chronicles 7 women who all live together and display outrageous behavior in front of the camera.Since it premiered in 2006 the show has been very successful and is currently in the fifth season.


Oxygen now reaches a total of 65 million homes. The network enjoys double digit rating growth and has the second highest concentration of women 18-49 on cable and satellite television.

Oxygen is considered successful today because of the choice of programming shown on their network. This network is necessary because people look to these shows for their ultimate gratification.
